Yellow Fish with Black Stripes Porcelain Limoges Box

Black stripes band a bright yellow body on this tropical fish, a cheerful flash of reef color. Made in Limoges, France, the fish is a porcelain Limoges box painted by hand.

Banded in Black

Several black stripes running across the yellow give this fish a lively rhythm, like sunlight dappling the water over a coral reef. It is one of the boldest color pairings in nature, and it looks just as striking in porcelain.

Stripes Across the Sun

• Yellow fish banded with black stripes
• Fits a fish, tropical or beach collection
• Pairs with the yellow masked fish and other reef pieces

Island Time on the Shelf

This piece brings a bit of island time indoors. Set it on a sunroom shelf, a bathroom counter near a shell dish, or a mantel at the lake house. It makes a fun present for a snorkeling enthusiast, a marine biology student, or a retiree who just moved to the coast. Collectors who enjoy pairing similar pieces often place it next to the yellow masked fish to compare the two patterns. Every fish is hand-painted, so the stripes fall a little differently on each one.
