Penguin Lifeguard Porcelain Limoges Figurine Box

A penguin stands on lifeguard duty, keeping a watchful eye over the beach. This figurine box was painted by hand in Limoges, France, a porcelain Limoges piece with a sense of humor.

On Duty at the Shore

Penguins are natural swimmers, so it makes sense that this one would take the lifeguard's post. The idea of a tuxedoed bird guarding the waves is funny and sweet at once, bringing a smile to anyone who spots it.

For Swimmers and Sun Seekers

This makes a fun thank-you for a real lifeguard, a swim coach, or a pool manager wrapping up the summer season. It also suits a beach house host, a penguin fan, or a friend who just earned a water safety certification. Set it on a beach house shelf, a bathroom vanity with seashells, or a summer display on a sunroom table. Collectors of penguin pieces will find this one stands out among the more traditional icy scenes. Each penguin is painted by hand, so the coloring differs a little from piece to piece.
